Hi students
We hope you have all had a good holiday and feel refreshed for the new term. This term we will begin preparation for your Trinity exams. We will be working on the Portfolio in class and you will be working on the Conversation topics at home.
Here’s some information to help you prepare your Conversation topics:
Conversation
You will be expected to attend an interview with a Trinity examiner.
You will need to prepare notes on a topic of your choice before the exam.
You can choose any topic except:
- travel – rules and regulations
- money – health and fitness
- -fashion – learning a foreign language
(These topics will be used in a separate part of the interview)
You will need to prepare a topic form for the interview which details four points of discussion.
For example:
Topic: My volleyball club
Points of discussion:
- Why I enjoy playing volleyball
- The rules – what you must and must not do
- How long I have played volleyball
- Our plans for the next six months
There are three parts to the exam:
1. A discussion of your chosen topic (4 minutes)
2. A discussion of one of your writing portfolio topics (2 minutes)
3. A discussioın of one of the following topics: travel, money, fashion, rules and regulations, health and fitness, learning a foreign language (2 minutes)
Note: You must ask the examiner at least one question on each of these parts.
