Action Verbs In Present Continuous

A collection of action verbs.
This week’s assignment is short and fun to do.
You all know the Present Continuous Tense — am/is/are and a verb ending in -ing. The words used in the present continuous are also called action verbs.
To practice this tense, and prepare you for your holiday assignment, I have put a music video below. The singer is Suzanne Vega together with DNA, and the song is called Tom’s Dinner.
You can find the lyrics (the words of the song) in the Homework Box. So, before pressing the play button, please download the lyrics from the Homework Box. This way you can read what the singer is singing while you look at the video and listen to song.
Your Task For This Week
Your task for this week is to:
- watch the video and listen to what the singer sings by reading the lyrics (the words of the song)
- make a list of all the present continuous verbs you hear or can find in the lyrics (e.g. am sitting, is looking, etc.)
