ISTEK Foundation was established in Istanbul in 1985 by a group of eminent people and institutions on the initiative of the former mayor of Istanbul, Mr Bedrettin Dalan. It is an educational trust, which aims to develop productive, creative and responsible attitudes in individuals while adopting the principles and reforms of Atatürk. Working in national and international contexts, aiming to make positive contributions to the future of both the country and the world, and giving priority to scientific thought defines ISTEK as a foundation like no other.

ISTEK Schools comprise eight K-12 campuses and three separate Kindergartens. The campuses are located in the central parts of Istanbul. In 1996, the Foundation also established Yeditepe University, which has grown to become Turkey’s biggest university.

The ISTEK Foreign Languages Team consists of 180 teachers. With its dynamic and constantly evolving structure, ISTEK Schools Foreign Languages Department strives to stay effective by constantly improving its language teaching and teacher training programs in order to suit the current circumstances of our age.
